As communities around the world recover from the effects of COVID-19, society grapples with what a new normal might look like. This global pandemic has disrupted nearly every aspect of our daily life—the way we do business, how we worship, receive an education. These disruptions uncover our vulnerabilities and shine a light on the need for total resilience—protecting individuals, preparing communities, and fortifying social systems.

Now in its ninth year, the Building Resilience Through Private-Public Partnerships Conference centers around collaboration between the private, public, and nonprofit sectors and the preparedness, response, and recovery strategies to help mitigate the effects of all disasters.

The 9th annual PPP Conference, hosted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation with support from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), and U.S. NORTHERN COMMAND, will focus on building resilience amidst a global pandemic and how we can be better prepared for future emergencies through greater collaboration.

This year’s PPP Conference will take place virtually on July 14-16, as will FEMA and National Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster’s Partnership Day event on Friday, July 17.
